17' White Jericho Bay Lobster Skiff (2016) - BOWDEN
Owner’s Description
Bowden is a Jericho Bay Lobster Skiff. She is modified from the original plans to be a foot wider in beam and therefore measures out two & half feet longer. She is cedar strip construction. The cedar for the hull was taken from two white cedar trees on Elk River, the same river in which Bowden often travels. The center console and leaning post are of my own design. Though her heritage is from salty waters she prefers freshwater lakes of Northern Michigan and can be seen most often on Elk Lake, Mullett Lake and Grand Traverse Bay when weather permits.

Beautiful boat Jamie. I’m soon to start fitting out my own JBLS build and have been wondering about a leaning bench of some sort. Yours looks perfect. I don’t think I have the capability to do as nice a job as you have but I sure will try! Mine is closer to designed length; just stretched 6” so my console/leaning post will be a might smaller. I have my previous build in this show. Penobscot 14 from Arch Davis.
