15' Whitehall Rowboat (2010) - LESLIE JEAN

Leslie Jean is a Whitehall as drawn up by John Gardner. Named after my wife (to hopefully excuse my time spent in the basement working on the boat). Western Red Cedar on Tennessee Oak steam bent frames. Mahogany seats and knees. I used this project as a learning tool. Over a few years, I took many classes at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding outside Port Townsend (Port Hadlock). After each class, I would come home and do that portion of the boat. It took 10 years… a couple days a month. I have just completed a 30′ schooner listed elsewhere …. BISH.
