18' Hylan Point Comfort 18 Outboard Launch (2020) - LUCKY DOG

This is my Doug Hylan designed Point Comfort 18 I built in 2020, named Lucky Dog.
Built in Nova Scotia, Canada, it’s glass over ply with a 25 hp Yamaha. A majority of the fixtures and fasteners through out, including the sole and many trim pieces, were salvaged from my moms old 1896 player piano, (douglas fir and American yellow poplar) and a 1980 Tanzer 26 sailboat I managed to strip before it went to the landfill. Recycling at it’s finest! It saw 50 hours operation last summer. I added more than the designer planned including the bimini for shade, and a nice multi type wood foredeck.
