Owner’s Description
Sprit-rigged 15′ Delaware Ducker. Modernized version of a late 19th to early 20th Century traditional waterman’s fishing & hunting boat from Delaware Bay. Thomas Eakins featured the Ducker in two of his paintings. Sails very well and handles bumpy water. Been out in 12-15 knot breezes (Little Pleasant Bay- Chatham). Good secondary stability. Rows well also, but not a speed queen. Handles two persons well, can fit in three. Hull is 100-110 lbs. (I think). Great all around seaworthy small boat for inshore sailing. Might try heading out a bit to blue water with a good sag boat along. If you don’t believe me, just ask Ben Fuller.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
