18' Bieker/Brown PT Skiff (2015) - MOJO

‘Mojo’ is a Port Townsend Skiff from PT Watercraft. It is a handsome and efficient design. The hull was inspired by sailing craft: well mannered and efficient at all speeds, and easily driven with a small 4 cycle, fuel injected outboard.

Built from a CNC kit, many details were added to produce a finished boat that was more traditional in detailing. The depth of the sheer clamp was increased to allow a more substantial rub rail. Several kit parts were re-cut to orient the face grains since the plan was to finish them bright rather than paint them. The seat-tops were re-cut in Sapele then wrapped in 4 oz. glass for strength. Laminated Mahogany upper coamings replaced the plywood parts of the kit boat. White oak blocking was added to support fittings.
