22' Bailey Gaff Sloop (1909) - LIZZIE

Lizzie, a 22 foot gaff sloop built in Wellington New Zealand in 1909. Her hull is kauri timber carvel planked. Restored by the Wellington Classic Yacht Trust led by Gavin Pascoe in Wellington New Zealand. The trust was initially set up in 2010 to rescue Lizzie, the oldest surviving Wellington built racing yacht from destruction after she sunk at her mooring in Auckland. Lizzie received a significant refurbishment by David Fisher and helpers in 2021 particularly a new plywood deck.
