Selma III is a traditionally built motor cruiser with two cabins. The hull is made of larch on oak frames, the superstructure of mahogany, and the deck is made of Iroko. The boat still has its original Volvo Penta BB43 gasoline engine.
The boat had a major restoration in the years 2008 – 2010 where among other things, the aft deck, the cabin roof, and the wheelhouse roof were replaced.
