It’s a cedar strip version of the CLC Annapolis Tandem Wherry. It took a year & a half to build largely because I didn’t want to use the standard commercial drop-in rowing rigs. I reached out anyone who answer my emails or phone calls on the rig setup. It is an absolute delight to row as a double. I blame this on my wife— who will row all day & into the night & never stop cracking jokes. After I finished the boat we rowed it, full of camping gear, 60 miles, from the South end of Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island. The boat rows very well as a single— I built a single rig for it as well.
Many thanks to Carl Douglas, Don Ukrainec, Doug Kidder, Frank Ward & Joe Greenley.
