19' Oughtred Caledonia Yawl II (2015) - KATHLEEN

Iain Oughtred designed 19′ 6″ Caledonia Yawl II, glued lap construction, 7 planks. Iain designed a boat that will ghost along in light winds but will stand up to a blow with 3 reef points in the balanced lug main. We are particularly fond of a yawl rig that will point directly into the wind when you sheet in the mizzen. This is a great safety feature and allows you adjust sails, take a break or just give you a moment to study your chart. This has been our favorite boat to take to the Cedar Key Small Boat Meet as a member of the West Coast Trailer Sailing Squadron in Florida. Plans are available rom Woodenboat magazine.
