I repaired boats for several years in my youth. For more than 10 years before retiring, I took courses in woodworking because I planned to build boats when I retired. In 2016 I built a 17ft kayak. This job took me 300 hrs. I rented space at a woodworking school to build it. The launch was made in the bay of Cap-Rouge near Quebec. I also sailed to New Brundswick. When I walk around with the kayak on the roof of my car, I attract attention.
