    Kauri Planked displacement Hull launch.

    TUI was built for a client to be used as a pleasure boat, as most of Dad’s boats were built for commercial fishing. Constructed mostly from Kauri, also some elements of Totara. The draft is less than normal as I believe this was for use in the Kiapara Harbour.
    The first picture shows Dad (90yrs) standing in front of 4 x of the boats he has built, all four owned by his sons and nephews.
