Palmetto was built for cruising in very shallow waters, with complete and comfortable accommodations for two. She has two full sized bunks, an enclosed head with a separate shower. Forward of that is a complete galley to port and a traditional dinette to starboard. The inside steering station has two captain’s chairs. From this area you can step into a forward cockpit that makes anchoring and line handling very easy. Aft of the cabin there is an outside, elevated steering station that gives you great visibility. There are two bench seats aft of this, one of which contains a 5-KW diesel generator. The boat has a top speed of 40 mph and cruises nicely at 30. She also rides well at 9mph. Drawing 18″ of water opens up many new cruising teritories in the south-eastern United States.
She is built with the Sam Delvin Stitch-N-Glue method of construction. The bottom is 2 layers of 1/2″ plywood and the topsides are one layer of 3/4″ plywood, all covered in fiberglass.

This is brilliant! Love the pic of the pile of plywood. Is there an inside steering station?
Yes, in the forward part of the cabin. The combination of the two conning stations is super!
