Duces Wild is a one family owned 1960 18′ twin outboard Lyman. This is one of a handful of original twin Lyman outboards still in existence and probably the most original one left. It has the same twin 1958 Evinrude 35hp Lark engines since they were bought new when my father ordered the boat custom built in late 1959. Duces Wild still sports its original canvas and interior cushions as well as most other factory options that were available at the time. In 2019 Duces Wild had four generations on board her at one time fulfilling its legacy that my Dad left as the Kucko family heirloom.

Sweet boat, great back story! Thank you for sharing with us!
I’m close by in Big Canoe!
Wow! What a life legacy!
I used to know a guy who had a few boats and I thought loved boats. I visited his lake house and asked him where the Chris Craft was, a boat his father had bought new in the late 40s or into the 50s. “I sold it,” he said. “It was too much trouble, too much maintenance.” I knew at that point that he did not actually love boats. You, on the other hand, clearly do, and I am glad to know it.
Thanks Joe! Yes this boat will always remain in the family as it is a family member as much as any of us our. Fortunately all the kids, grandkids and great grandkids all feel the same!
