Owner’s Description
The Friendship sloop is a recognizable classic of the Maine coast. The ubiquitous “pickup truck” of the late 19th and early 20th century, they were used for lobstering, general fishing, and moving goods. Many sloops, after a working life, were converted to pleasure boats. Some of the originals are still sailing after a century and many boats have been built to original designs purely as recreational vessels.
Built to the lines of an original Wilbur Morse Friendship from the early 1900s, Black Star is a modern copy built in 1989. She has had the same owners for the last twenty years.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
