This boat is a reproduction of a traditional Piscataqua sailing skiff, originally built by Bay-Of-Maine Boats in Kennebunkport, Maine and restored to its current museum quality in 2020. The “wherry” form is “sprit-rigged” with a four-cornered sail held up by a “sprit” which crosses the mast and anchored in a tether-line. This particular boat has been modified by the addition of a conventional boom. This modification vastly increases the sailing performance and comfort of this charming little vessel. The boat comes with oars and oars locks for the rowing enthusiast trailer, boat cover, and all rigging. The hull is fiberglass, the gunwales and seats are mahogany and teak. All woodwork is sealed and varnish to to lustrous finish.
