We built this boat off of the certified plans from the Mystic seaport museum…stretched her to 21′ from 18 and added an inch of freeboard – The design grew out of the post civil war period in the thousand islands region as a fishing day charter catering to the dandies that would populate the area in their summer homes. She is very “slippery” in the water and can handle a sudden onslaught of wind and weather with great confidence. That, and she is gorgeous…and I am pretty sure the only one of her kind on the west coast.

Beautifully built, they row like a dream. Thank you for sharing! There is at least one other on the west coast, the skin-on-frame version built by Dan Pence of Portland (Oregon) as an oar and sail raid boat. “Conjure” was its name.
