an 1886 rowing wherry built by Salters of Oxford for rowing on the Thames. Restored in 2011, all the wood is totally original and it is the earliest known surviving Salters boat. First trip was a 140 mile row down the Thames from Lechlade (highest navigable point) to Fulham, London (where I live) over 5 days.

I saw the boat at Turks auction. You have done a realy good job with the boat.
I was one of the other bidders for this. From the type it´s an outrigged gig. If you are interested I think I have some photos of the boat as it was then in my archive.

23 feet traditional build and 80! pounds!!!
Probably the most beautiful boat here, and proper fast too.
