This 1948 Chris-Craft Custom Sedan is our family daily driver, Jitterbug. She is 22 feet with original hull and hardware. A modern 350 Mercruiser makes Jitterbug fast and reliable. Triple cockpits provide lots of room for the whole family and guests on an evening cocktail cruise. We are so happy to wake her from a long sleep 2 years ago and get her back on the water. Hanging in our boathouse year-round, she is ready for fun at a moments notice!

Hi Doug, glad you like her. She has her original hull that is cedar, I believe Alaskan Yellow Cedar, hence the painted hull on the first few post war years. Not enough mahogany to go around for a while. We’ve really done nothing but clean her up, top coat varnish and paint the hull after she was left floating in a boat house for 8 years. A great find, a fun boat and a favorite everywhere we take her!
Thanks Denae, she was a great find. Floating abandoned in a boat house for 8 years but cleaned right up with minimal trouble and has been a great addition to the family!
Fabulous restoration. Just wondering is the hull mahogany?

Hey Kirk! She’s no Connie but she gets us around!
Wow.. at 73 she looks splendid!
Thank you Ron, good bones. We’re doing as little as possible, really like to keep her as original as we can. So far, so good!
