Built in 2020 from plans and the video series by Off Center Harbor for their OCH skiff, she’s a delight to row. She’s traditionally built, cedar planked over oak frames, oiled interior, painted topsides and bottom. I worked over the winter of 2020 in the garage, finishing it over that next summer. Of course, being summer in Maine, she wasn’t launched until October. Named after our most recent grand daughter, Ella, it was a wonderful project. Kudos to Havilah Hawkins (the designer), Eric Blake, Maynard Bray and the rest of the OCH crew for getting me going on my lifelong dream to build a wooden boat.
