32' Wittholz Gentleman's Tugboat (1963) - MALEO

32′ Cruising Tug ( see article in ” Yachting ” May 1966 pg 80 )
We first came across Maleo when we were in Tobermory in 2010 when traveling on Seahawk.
Peter and Chuck the current owner got on famously, and Peter asked that if and when Chuck decided to retire from the boat to get in touch with us.
A number of years later we went to Tobermory but Maleo had gone. Peter asked around and we found out it had been for sale for a number of years and unfortunately Chuck had the onset of Dementia. We asked around and found out the boat had been bought and moved to another Marina. We found the boat and asked the staff to give our card to the current owners. This he dutifully did but the owners were happy with the boat but again Peter asked that if they did want to sell to contact him. In 2017 we got the call and the rest is history.
Currently the boat has been moved to our cottage in Muskoka ,Ontario so that we can refit it to do the Great Loop – A 6000 mile loop through Canada and the United states.
