41' Lowell Downeast Lobsterboat (1999) - MARY C.

This boat was built in the late 1990s on spec, to be a used as a working lobster boat. It featured a traditional split wheelhouse, pot hauler, and 6:1 as well as 2:1 hydraulic steering to aid in the maneuvering of the boat while hauling pots.

Due to the high level of craftsmanship, the boat ultimately was purchased for recreational use and has been used in that way ever since. The split wheelhouse was replaced with a larger recreational style wheelhouse featuring clear spruce uprights and roof carlins.

The boat is built with sawn white oak frames, and 5/4 white cedar planks. The hull is ballasted with poured concrete.
