Glued plywood lapstrake Beach Pea, built for use as a tender for coastal cruising. Modifications include watertight flotation compartments under the stern sheets, full laminated frames for extra strength, and Kevlar/fiberglass sheathing of the bottom and garboard strakes for abrasion resistance on rocky beaches. Rows and tows beautifully.

Hi Dave. That’s a sweet tender for a stunning mothership! I want to introduce myself as the other Utahn currently in the show. I grew up in Victoria (my uncle was a wooden shipwright in Sidney and friends with Paul Gartside). I now live and build wooden boats in Oakley but still spend a lot of time on the water in the northwest. I am interested in learning more about your adventures aboard La Vie En Rose. Please feel free to reach out to me at greatbearboatworks@gmail.com at your convenience. Best. Andrew Cole.
