71' Nicholson 12-Meter Sloop (1937) - BLUE MARLIN

Blue Marlin is a 1937 launched Vintage Class 12mR Yacht. She was purchased by Henrik Andersin as a total restoration project and delivered to the Red Sky Craftsmen at the Finnish Wooden Boat Center in Kotka, Finland, for the work.

The restoration included new bronze frames, total replanking, an interior constructed from the original cedar and a new rig and sails.

The mandate from the owner was to restore the boat to last another 100 years. Blue Marlin is currently used for family cruising, VIP charters and racing among the very competitive Northern European Vintage 12 Fleet.

As captain of the vessel, I have to say my job is very rewarding….she brings a smile to everyone that comes aboard!
