21' Lake Champlain Sailing Sharpie (1996) - WOODWIND
Owner’s Description
21-foot Lake Champlain racing sharpie, built to lines from an 1880s Forest & Stream magazine. I built this boat in 1996 for the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain. Sharpies were used for racing in Burlington, Vermont in the late 1800’s and this was a small one. The planking is white pine over oak frames. Like many sharpies she could be rigged as a sloop or a ketch, with leg-o-mutton sails.

Fantastic.
I would love to see a Sharpie Revival!
