One of my favorite books was ‘Boys in the Boat’ and this is awesome you’ve been able to maintain and show some of this history. I had seen this launch a few years ago at the Mahogany and Merlot in Chelan and thought how cool to have this as a living history; floating and running. A job well done. Thanks for sharing.

Kirk – In the myopia of organizing the Show, I somehow missed this one until now – this is SO COOL!

I was a rowing coach for many years, and if I’d seen this prior I would’ve scuttled my Stillwater coaching catamaran and insisted that I get something like CONNY. What a magnificent boat, with incomparable provenance. Thank you for sharing her!

Also, I live on Puget Sound and would love to connect to see if we can make a full Off Center Harbor video on her someday – let me know if you’d be up for it.

Yes, In 1971 two of “the Boys” took their dates out for an evening cruise without the coaches knowledge or permission. College boys used to do those things…..perhaps they still do? While our two “Row me oh’s” were busy entertaining their dates they neglected to yield right of way. The result wasn’t pretty!

Very understandable, a crying shame but not surprising behavior for young males… if my memory servers me correctly.
