Owner built, Iain Oughtred designed “Guillemot” clinker dinghy. Made with marine ply and light weight paulownia. It can be rowed, sailed or powered (using a Torqeedo electric outboard). The sail is a lateen style rig, using an old jib from my gaff cutter that I converted to an aft mast rig.
I have recently constructed a curved, laminated mast so that the lateen sail doesn’t wrap around the mast.

A labour of love and a work of art. Congratulations Tony on creating such a beautiful boat. It looks to handle so responsively in light breezes and the waterways around Tea Gardens must be an amazing place to sail her. Marshall
sweet! 🙂
Looks great and seems to be quite a quick boat from your video. Nice one.

Stunning boat; wonderful workmanship. Built from plans by an amateur – what an amazing effort!
Thanks babe.
